Annual Black History Awards Reception

The Greater New York Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Black History Awards Networking Breakfast on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 10:45 AM. The event took place in the General Society Library located at 20 W. 44th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10036. This annual gathering serves as a platform to honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to African American history and culture. Attendees had the opportunity to network over breakfast, followed by an awards presentation recognizing the achievements of the honorees.

This year’s awardees are Hope Knight, President & CEO of Empire State Development Corp., Shonda Marie Maduro, Business Development Manager of the British Virgin Islands, and Anthony Watson Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center. The Annual Black History Awards Networking Breakfast exemplifies the Chamber's commitment to celebrating and acknowledging the pivotal roles that African Americans have played in shaping New York's rich cultural and business landscape.
