2026 MWBE Regional Opportunities Expo held at Javits Center

New York, NY — Thursday, July 23, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

The New York State Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Regional Opportunities Expo Series convened New York State agencies, prime contractors, and thousands of small businesses to network and learn about upcoming contracting opportunities for MWBE firms.

Empire State Development President, CEO, and Commissioner Hope Knight delivered keynote remarks, emphasizing the Expo’s role in strengthening New York’s economy: “New York’s MWBE community is a driving force behind our state’s economy, and the Regional Opportunities Expo is designed to help these businesses make meaningful connections, compete for state contracts and access the resources they need to grow. By bringing together agencies, contractors and entrepreneurs from across New York, we are creating new pathways for small businesses to succeed while building a stronger, more inclusive economy.”

Leaders from New York City’s MWBE community were also in attendance. A featured photo captured Mark Jaffe with Dilip Chauhan and Michael Garner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises.

Mark Jaffe noted, “Our membership is strong because of its diversity. We are proud to work with many ethnic chambers and excited to once again be part of this important conference. We will continue to help our members get certified, build their businesses, and network their way to profitable business deals.”
