Greater New York Chamber of Commerce: 2024 Year in Review
As we close out 2024, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce (GNYCC) celebrates another year of growth, connection, and service to the diverse business community in New York City. With over 30,000 business and civic leaders served, GNYCC has continued its mission to support, educate, and advocate for businesses across the five boroughs. This year, we hosted numerous events, webinars, and initiatives to empower our members, providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed in an ever-evolving business landscape.
Here’s a look back at some of our most significant achievements and events of 2024:
Networking and Community Building
In 2024, the Chamber hosted over 100 networking receptions, offering businesses the chance to connect, collaborate, and grow. These events included both in-person and online formats, such as:
• Online Zoom Networking: Bringing together members from all industries to foster relationships and share knowledge.
• Power Networking Lunches: Engaging, high-energy luncheons that encouraged peer-to-peer connections and business development.
• Spotlight Events: Special gatherings at iconic venues like Hershey’s Times Square, LeParc, Del Frisco’s, and NY International Art Society, where Chamber members showcased their businesses and networked in an iconic prestigious environment.
These networking opportunities helped businesses expand their reach and create valuable connections with potential clients, partners, and investors.
Educational Webinars & Workshops
This year, the GNYCC hosted dozens of educational webinars, providing businesses with critical insights and practical strategies to navigate today’s complex business environment. Notable sessions included:
• MBWE Certification and Access to Capital: Helping minority- and women-owned businesses secure certification and financial resources.
• Meet the Lenders: Connecting members with financial institutions and private lenders to discuss funding options.
• How to Get Government Contracts: Offering actionable advice on winning government contracts at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Building a Blog & Grant Research: Teaching members the basics of digital marketing and how to access global grants for business growth.
• Cybersecurity Tips & Workers Compensation Updates: Providing essential knowledge on the latest cybersecurity trends and changes in workers' compensation and disability laws.
• Franchising Your Business: Offering guidance on how to scale and expand a business through franchising.

Partnerships with Local, State, and Federal Agencies
GNYCC strengthened its relationship with local, state, and federal entities in 2024 to ensure our members received the most up-to-date business requirements and compliance information. We collaborated with agencies like the SBA, IRS, OATH, EXIM Bank, Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Treasury to provide essential resources to our members. Business Resources and Legal Support
GNYCC continued to serve as a vital resource hub for businesses throughout New York City:
• Grants & Funding: We maintained and regularly updated lists of grants, loans, and funding opportunities, helping members secure much-needed capital to grow and expand.
• Legal Center: Our members were able to access free legal consulting services, ensuring they had expert advice on business law, contracts, and compliance issues.
These initiatives helped our members mitigate risk and take advantage of opportunities that supported their growth and success.
Expo Partnerships & Special Events
GNYCC was proud to partner with a variety of industry expos and events in 2024, providing our members with visibility and opportunities to showcase their products and services. Notable partnerships included:

International Trade & Investment Forums
One of the standout initiatives in 2024 was the International Trade & Investment Forums, where GNYCC partnered with nations and regions from around the world, including:

Media Outreach & Public Relations
Throughout 2024, GNYCC worked diligently to provide valuable insights and commentary to leading publications, major news networks, and radio outlets. By amplifying the voices of our 30,000 members, we ensured that the concerns and successes of New York City’s business community were heard at the highest levels of government and industry.
Social Media Branding & Marketing
In 2024, GNYCC expanded its digital presence to better engage with the business community and amplify its messaging across multiple platforms, including:

Through strategic branding and marketing efforts, the Chamber’s online presence grew, allowing us to reach new audiences and share important updates with the business community.
