South African Wine Tasting and Networking Reception

GNYCC Members experienced a South African wine tasting class followed by a beautiful networking reception in the newly created "South African Cultural Center", (SACC) which is located within the Consulate and which was established by the current Consul General, Dr Tawana in 2021. There is currently a photographic exhibition in place, that is dedicated to the memory of the recently deceased Archbishop Desmond Tutu, which will form the backdrop to the venue for the Networking Reception..The Reception is also timely as it celebrates the week of South Africa's Freedom Day which takes place on Wednesday, April 27th, and marks the anniversary of the first ever free elections in South African history which took place in 1994, and saw the election of President Nelson Mandela.

A special thank you should also be made to Mr. Jim Clarke, the Country Manager, for Wines of South Africa USA who conducted the Wine Class and who selected the wines for the reception. Wines of South Africa are the international marketing agency for South African wines
