Chamber Honors Trusted Trading Partners at World Trade Week Ceremony

May 16, 2018

Every year, during World Trade Week, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce lives up to its standing commitment to honor those who set an example that inspires their surrounding community and helps to improve world trade and commerce.

In past years, this distinguished event has been held at the United Nations Headquarters Building and the Waldorf Astoria New York. This year at the SUNY Global Center in New York City on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, the Chamber honored members and trusted trading partners for:
1. Excellence in Exporting,
2. Improving Corporate Cultures,
3. Export Assistance, and
4. Special Life Time Recognition & Solidarity Awards
In particular, those being recognized for “Excellence in Exporting” include NutraBlend Foods, Liptis Pharmaceuticals, Nature’s Bounty, Vitane Pharmaceuticals, and Vladimir Gerasichev of Business Relations were honored for “Improving Corporate Cultures” given their work towards improving the understanding of International Corporate Cultures and World Trade and, for their commitment to increasing world trade opportunities and providing export assistance and financing to NY based companies, Global NY will be honored for “Excellence in Export Assistance”.

In addition, as a very special honor, Sam & Donna Mizrahi-Kauderer and Sami Steigmann were recognized for the World Trade Week “Life Time Recognition Awards”.

In both cases, the award is meant to honor Holocaust Survivors who set an example of fighting and winning against all odds “so we never forget”. It should be noted that this ceremony came just two days after the US moved to support one of our nation’s most important allies through the establishment of the US Consulate in Jerusalem, Israel.
