The Greater New York Chamber had a Special Executive Chamber Presentation of Highlights of the FY 2019 NYS Budget was presented by: Lindsey Boylan, Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and Special Advisor to the Governor NYS just passed a 168.2 billion budget that limits overall spending growth to under 2% for the eighth year in a row!

Friday, February 23rd GNYCC hosted its annual Black History Awards Reception at BB King's in Times Square. The special guest emcee was Larry Mullin, the 1010 WINS News drivetime anchor. The event started with a networking breakfast, after which we honored the late, great, legendary blues artist BB King with the Bill McCreary LEGEND Award.

This year was the 100th anniversary of womens suffrage in NY. Hundreds of chamber members and their guests helped us honor 6 distinguished women while enjoying food from Kellari Taverna. The Honorable United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand opened the reception with a video congratulating the honorees.

This years honorees were Congressman Charles Rangel, 1010 WINS news anchor Larry Mullins, 100 Black Men NYC President Michael Garner, former NYC Veterans Affairs Commissioner Terrance Holliday and Black Shopping Channel CEO Cleveland Gary.
