NEWSChile: Your Next Tech Partner
November 21, 2019
GNYCC participated in the Chile: Your Next Tech Partner Networking Breakfast to learn about business opportunities with Chile. Ignacio Recart, Chilean Trade Commissioner in NYC and part of ProChile, opened the event. A presentation by Ch1L3 (Chile a Digital Country) business development manager, Lauren Brown, illustrated the many reasons why Chile makes a great tech partner, including facts such as: The 2019 World Competitiveness report by the World Economic Forum ranked Chile 33rdin the world and first (with a large margin) in front of other Latin countries. Chile is known as the most technologically advanced, most “wired and connected” country in Latin America, for attracting top talent in tech and having the best developers in Latin America, having a great business climate, and sharing a time zone with North America. Following the presentation, Araceli Guenther from Victrix Global moderated a Q&A session and group discussion about how nearshoring is globalizing digital transformation. After the program, networking continued with some of Chile's top tech companies and leading entrepreneurs from Kunder, Nisum, Arkanosoft, Magnet, Linets, Adevcom, Jumpitt Labs, and Zenta.
